Do you still buy your games in a local game shop because you are hesitant to buy games online?

Then your typical day at the local game shop would include lining up, sorting among boxes to find the game that you want and most of the time you probably walk away disappointed and empty handed. Sometimes you felt rob for paying too much for a game just because they are new plus in demand and with limited supply, most of the time you would probably shed out the amount, I know I was once like you. I want you to know that you are not alone; I for one was very hesitant until a game that I really want was always unavailable. My desire to get my hands on the game got the better of me, so I took a chance and I did what I haven't done before and that is to buy games online and let me tell you this I never look back from that day forth.

A few tips you can use, so when you do buy games online it would be a rewarding experience.

  • Go to the game website and read the game review. Here you will mostly find the best thing the game has to offer and most importantly the system requirement needed for a specific game.
  • Join gaming forum and you would tap the best unbiased source of information available, you will have access to the real score about the game you are interested in. Here you can get tips and tricks on how to play the game effectively especially if you find yourself stuck on a certain level of a game.
  • This is probably the most important tip that I can provide you, search and be vigilant in choosing the online game store you would eventually buy game online from. A good online store would offer a good price mostly 50% cheaper than a retail store since they don’t have to pay rent and hire numerous sales clerks, the ability to offer a wide selection of games and a user-friendly website interface so you would not have any problem navigating the site. Some would let you download a free trial version of the game which allows you a firsthand experience of the game.

By using the tips above I am confident that I will be seeing you in game forums in the near future.

Surely by now you will have a lot of questions and doubts; I know these because I felt the same way when the option to buy games online first presents itself. I would like to iterate some of those questions and doubts:

  • How long will it be before the game is delivered?

On most cases you would receive the product in 24-48 hours, depending on yourlocation it may take longer but some online game store lets you download the gameinto your computer ready to be use within few hours without the added shippingcosts.

  • How much can you save when you buy games online?

The amount you can save varies but the price should be around 50% to 70% cheaper of the same product you can find in your local game store, don’t forget toconsider the shipping cost if the item needs to be ship to you.

  • What happens if you get a defective product?

This is the only drawback I can think of when you buy games online. When returninga defective product to the seller you will have to shoulder the costs of shipping itback and getting the replacement product back to you.

Remember : Games nowadays are just a finger tips away
